Instagram is now launching Instagram Plus globally, and the company has outlined everything subscribers can expect to get for the monthly price.
Many of the new features are geared toward increasing content visibility for subscribers. Story Spotlight gives a user’s profile higher priority among friends, while Story Extend extends story availability from 24 to 48 hours. Subscribers can also create multiple audience lists and select which group can view a particular story. Additional tools include story previews, rewatch metrics, and viewer search functionality. The subscription also makes it possible to post directly to a profile or highlights without displaying the post in the main feed.
Instagram Plus also adds a range of personalization features. Subscribers can choose from several alternative app icons and customize the font used in their profile bio. The plan increases the number of pinned profile items to six and introduces animated super hearts for reacting to friends’ stories.
According to Meta, Instagram Plus will continue to gain new features in the months ahead. The service is priced at $3.99 per month.
