Good news for Samsung users, Samsung is throwing open the doors wider for the One UI 8 beta program, bringing its next-gen AI smarts and features to a whole bunch more Galaxy devices. If you’ve been itching to try the future of Samsung software, your chance might be coming soon.

Devices That Will Be Supported

For the initial step, users in Korea, the U.S., the U.K., and India with these flagship devices can jump into the One UI 8 Beta:

  • Galaxy S24 series
  • Galaxy Z Fold6
  • Galaxy Z Flip6

In September, Samsung is expanding beta access significantly to include:

  • Galaxy S23 series
  • Galaxy Z Fold5 & Z Flip5
  • Popular A-series models: Galaxy A55 5G, A54, A35 5G, and A36 5G.

Here are some interesting features that will be in Samsung One UI 8 Beta:

Multimodal Magic: One UI 8 introduces smarter AI that can understand your context in real-time, aiming for much more natural interactions.

Gemini at Your Ear (Literally): Paired with the new Galaxy Buds3 or Buds3 Pro? Just long-press an earbud or use your voice to instantly activate Google’s Gemini assistant.

Smarter, Smoother Experience: Designed to work seamlessly across all Galaxy form factors (phones, folds, flips), One UI 8 promises enhanced productivity, efficiency, and personalized, proactive suggestions tailored just for you.

What’s After the Beta?

Samsung plans to launch the stable, official version of One UI 8 in September, starting with the Galaxy S25 series. This final release will incorporate all the valuable feedback gathered from you as beta testers! After the S25, the update will roll out sequentially to other eligible devices.

Later this year, One UI 8 Watch will expand beyond the new Galaxy Watch8 series to reach more Galaxy Watch models. Expect motivational health features and a more refined, intuitive smartwatch interface hitting more wrists soon.
