Samsung Electronics confirmed on November 6, 2025, that it has finalized the acquisition of FläktGroup, integrating Europe’s top HVAC specialist into its global portfolio
This deal is a big step for Samsung as it works to grow its footprint in the commercial HVAC industry. FläktGroup isn’t losing its identity; it’ll keep its name, leadership team, and staff, just as before. That move helps preserve the expertise and reputation that made it a trusted brand. The acquisition also brings along FläktGroup’s key subsidiaries, including Woods Air Movement, SEMCO, and SE-Elektronic.

Through the integration of FläktGroup’s production capabilities and extensive European sales network, Samsung aims to enhance its R&D capacity and strengthen its worldwide supply chain for large-scale HVAC solutions. The HVAC business has been identified as a central growth driver within Samsung’s Device eXperience (DX) Division.
Samsung’s push into HVAC comes as global demand for advanced climate control systems continues to climb. Growth is being driven by sectors such as industrial facilities, commercial buildings, marine operations, healthcare, and biopharmaceuticals across Korea, North America, and Europe. Bringing FläktGroup into the mix builds on Samsung’s earlier partnership with Lennox, which boosted its presence in North America.
A key opportunity ahead lies in smart building tech. Samsung is looking at ways to link FläktGroup’s high-end HVAC systems with its own platforms like SmartThings Pro and b.IoT. Together, they could drive new gains in energy savings and smarter building operations.
FläktGroup’s CEO, Trevor Young, said teaming up with Samsung is a huge boost for the company’s growth and innovation goals. He added that the partnership could mark a turning point in creating the HVAC systems of the future.
FläktGroup brings more than 100 years of experience to Samsung, with deep expertise in central air conditioning and precision cooling. The company runs over ten production sites worldwide and has a strong network of sales and service teams. It’s already a trusted partner for major clients, working on projects like Stargate and with other large-scale operators. To keep up with the fast-growing data center and AI markets, FläktGroup has created tailored solutions, built a North American data center team, and set up a global support hub in Singapore.
