Apple Reports Record iPhone Revenue With 17% Sales Growth

No standard iPhone this cycle, and Apple still set an iPhone revenue record. The fourth-quarter numbers, released Monday, suggest the rest of the lineup carried the quarter on its own.

iPhone revenue hit $57.58 billion, up 17 percent year over year. The iPhone 18 family arrived in September with higher-priced Pro and Pro Max models, and Apple raised prices on the older iPhones at the same time. The iPhone Duo, Apple’s first foldable, was also announced, but its preorders haven’t been counted in these results.

Apple, like other device-makers, has been contending with supply chain constraints and rising memory costs, and it has raised prices across its products as a result. At launch, the company had only a “limited” number of iPhone Duos in stores, and some estimated shipping dates stretch into 2027.

In an interview with CNBC, Apple CEO John Ternus said memory costs rose compared with the June quarter. He said the increase was partly offset by the benefit of carrying inventory and by lower costs on non-memory components.

Apple’s total revenue increased 12 percent to $114.5 billion. Mac revenue grew 24 percent to $10.79 billion. The services division, which includes App Store commissions and subscriptions such as Apple TV and Apple Music, grew to $31.57 billion. iPad revenue fell 10 percent year over year to $6.23 billion.

Apple launched several other major products in recent weeks. It entered the smart home category with its first smart home display and a set of video doorbells, security cameras, and door locks made with LG and Schneider Electric. Last week, it also announced a MacBook Pro with a touchscreen, a design its executives had long resisted.
