Samsung Steps Into the Future with Vision AI Companion for Smarter Living

Samsung Steps Into the Future with Vision AI Companion

For as long as most can remember, the TV has been where families come together to laugh, to learn, to share the moment. But with Samsung’s Vision AI Companion, that familiar glow takes on a new meaning. The television becomes more than a screen; it becomes a living part of the home, responsive, intelligent, and connected.

Samsung designed the Vision AI Companion with shared experiences in mind, not individual use. It adds value to time spent together, turning simple moments into meaningful interactions. You can pause a movie to learn about its director, explore background details on a favorite actor, or plan meals as a group, all from the same screen.

Driving this new user experience is an upgraded iteration of Samsung’s Bixby assistant, redesigned for contextual understanding and natural speech. Viewers can query the system about on-screen content, from film details and live sports to artwork or travel destinations, and receive real-time responses enhanced with visuals. The interaction unfolds directly on the display, removing the need for secondary devices or layered menus.

For example, while watching a cooking show, you might ask, “How do I make donuts?” and receive step-by-step recipe videos on-screen. During the holidays, it can help with planning by recommending holiday movies or suggesting games the family can enjoy together. It can also provide practical updates, such as the weather forecast, to help you get ready for the season.

With a single press of the AI button on the remote, you can access a new, more intuitive way to interact with your television. Backed by generative AI, the system recognizes context and follow-up questions, allowing for a smooth, conversational experience that feels far more natural than traditional voice commands.

This new capability runs on an open, multi-AI platform that brings together several advanced language models, including Microsoft Copilot and Perplexity. The integration enables the Vision AI Companion to deliver smart, visually rich answers to a variety of questions, whether you’re planning a trip or looking up a company. It’s available across all viewing modes, from live TV and streaming apps to Samsung TV Plus.

Beyond its core functions, the Vision AI Companion offers a few clever extras, features designed to make everyday use smarter and more seamless:

  1. Live Translate: Offers real-time translation of on-screen dialogue and conversations, breaking down language barriers for multilingual families.
  2. AI Gaming Mode: Dynamically optimizes picture and sound for a more responsive and immersive gaming experience.
  3. Generative Wallpaper: Creates dynamic, personalized backgrounds for your TV that adapt to your preferences.
  4. Advanced Picture & Sound Optimization: A suite of technologies, including AI Picture, AVA Pro, and AI Upscaling Pro, works automatically to ensure every piece of content achieves its best possible audiovisual quality.

To ensure its technology reaches users worldwide, Samsung’s Vision AI Companion supports ten languages, including Korean, English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, and Portuguese, one of the most extensive language ranges ever offered for a conversational AI on television.

You’ll find the Vision AI Companion built into Samsung’s 2025 TVs, from Neo QLED and Micro RGB to OLED and QLED models, plus Smart Monitors and The Movingstyle. Everything runs on Samsung’s One UI Tizen system, and the company is promising seven years of updates to keep things secure and up to date.
