Game Streaming Arrives for Xbox Insiders on PC

Great news for PC gamers, especially those who are Xbox Insiders and Game Pass Ultimate members, Microsoft is rolling out a major upgrade to cloud gaming that brings even more freedom to how and where you play.

If you’re part of the PC Gaming Preview via Xbox Insider Program and have Game Pass Ultimate, you can now stream select console games you already own, even if they’re not part of the Game Pass library, straight from the Xbox app on your PC. This is available in all 28 countries where Xbox Cloud Gaming (Beta) is supported.

What’s New?

Earlier this year, Xbox introduced the “Stream your own game” feature to a variety of platforms, including Xbox consoles, Smart TVs, Meta Quest headsets, and browser-based devices like smartphones, tablets, and PCs. Now, they’re bringing this same functionality directly to the Xbox app on PC, giving gamers more flexibility than ever before.

You no longer need to install a game to play it. As long as you own a supported title, you can stream it instantly. That means faster access, less disk space used, and more control over your gaming experience.

Console-Only Games Now on PC

This update also unlocks access to console-only titles that weren’t previously playable on the Xbox app for PC. Simply open the app, navigate to the Cloud Gaming section, and check out the Stream your own game catalog. From there, choose any supported game you own and start playing immediately. There are over 250+ games available already, with more being added regularly, including Xbox Play Anywhere titles and more console exclusives.

It’s all about playing your way, whether that’s on your PC, console, or another cloud-compatible device. Xbox is making it easier than ever to take your games wherever you go.

Want to Help Shape the Future of Xbox?

If you’re already an Xbox Insider, your feedback is invaluable. Xbox encourages you to continue sharing your thoughts and experiences over on the Xbox Insider subreddit, where official staff, moderators, and fellow Insiders are actively involved. Tip: Try adding to existing threads before starting a new one; it helps the team support you more efficiently.

Not part of the Insider Program yet? You can get early access to new features and help improve the platform by joining today. Just download the Xbox Insider Hub for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, or Windows PC, and you’re in!
