Google has already revealed much of its Android-related news ahead of the conference. In the lead-up to I/O, the company introduced a new lineup of Googlebook laptops, unveiled Gemini Intelligence, and previewed several Android 17 features. Even so, AI is expected to take center stage during the keynote, with possible updates to Search, a potential Gemini 4 debut, and fresh details on the latest Veo text-to-video model. Google may also share more about its plan to merge Android and ChromeOS into a unified operating system for Googlebooks, following an early preview during last week’s The Android Show.

On the hardware side, Google could offer an early look at the Pixel 11 alongside its next-generation Pixel Watch. The event may also serve as a platform to highlight the company’s mixed reality ambitions through Android XR. In addition, Google could provide a release update for its Gemini-powered Google Home smart speaker, first announced last fall with a $99 price tag and a planned spring launch.
