Fresh reports have revived speculation around Apple’s long-rumored foldable iPhone, suggesting the device may arrive with competitive pricing and specifications similar to those expected in the company’s upcoming flagship models.
According to Mark Gurman’s latest Power On newsletter, Apple may price its first foldable iPhone at about $2,000. That’s a bit lower than earlier rumors suggested. If the number is accurate, it would put the phone right alongside Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 7, which starts at $1,999 for the 256GB model, while Google’s Pixel 10 Pro Fold is a little more affordable at $1,799.

That pricing would differ from earlier speculation, which generally pointed to a more expensive device. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo had predicted a range between $2,000 and $2,500, while Fubon Research’s Arthur Liao estimated a $2,399 starting price. Earlier this month, tipster Instant Digital also suggested the foldable could launch at about $2,325.
If Apple ultimately adopts the lower price point, it could ripple across the foldable smartphone market. Some industry observers had warned that an extremely expensive debut from Apple might encourage rival manufacturers to push their own prices higher, potentially putting the new form factor out of reach for more consumers.

A separate report from The Bell has also revealed possible specifications for the device. The outlet says the iPhone Fold will include 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM, the same memory expected in the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max. Samsung is expected to supply the memory chips, maintaining its position as a major component provider for Apple.
Storage configurations for the foldable iPhone are expected to include 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB variants. Notably, the 2TB option anticipated for the iPhone 17 Pro Max is reportedly absent from the foldable lineup.
The report does not confirm which companies will supply the NAND flash storage. However, it suggests the components could come from Micron Technology, Samsung Electronics, Kioxia, or SK Hynix, all of which currently provide storage for the iPhone 17 series.
Apple has not officially confirmed the existence of a foldable iPhone, and release timelines remain speculative. However, the convergence of reports from multiple sources suggests the company is actively developing the device behind closed doors.
