While consumers are cutting back, Samsung is expanding its premium accessory lineup. The company quietly launched the Pro Keyboard for the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra, designed to make the tablet function more like a laptop. The accessory is priced at $399, even higher than Apple’s top-tier keyboard.
The release comes shortly after Samsung introduced a cheaper alternative, the $210 Book Cover Keyboard Slim, which launched alongside the tablet. The Pro Keyboard first appeared in Korea earlier this month and has since reached the U.S. market.
Pricing differs depending on the region. The Pro Keyboard launched in Korea at about $338, compared with roughly $400 in the U.S. Since the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra starts at $1,199, buying both brings the total close to $1,600.

At $400, the accessory even surpasses Apple’s pricing. The Pro Keyboard costs more than Apple’s most expensive Magic Keyboard, which sells for $349 for the 13-inch iPad Pro.
Samsung is likely to justify the premium by focusing on the differences between the Pro Keyboard and the Slim model. The Pro version replaces the simple folio-style design with a sturdier laptop-like base, along with an aluminum body, integrated trackpad, and 81-key layout.

The company also notes several hardware improvements. The trackpad is said to be 14.6% larger than the previous generation, and the accessory uses Pogo pins for a direct connection, eliminating the need for Bluetooth pairing.
The Pro Keyboard also includes several productivity-focused features. These range from a DeX key for Samsung’s desktop-style interface to an AI key, customizable app shortcuts, touchpad on/off controls, keyboard sharing, and automatic wake and sleep when the case is opened or closed. It is available in silver or gray.

The expanded feature set doesn’t eliminate concerns around cost. The Pro Keyboard is also heavier, weighing 636 grams, compared to 466 grams for the Book Cover Keyboard Slim.
The pricing effectively positions the Pro Keyboard at nearly double the cost of the Slim variant, in exchange for upgraded materials, a larger trackpad, and expanded shortcut-focused functionality.
