Razer has released the Tartarus V2 Pro, an updated version of its one-handed gaming keyboard. It has an ergonomic build with an adjustable palm rest. Unlike a typical keyboard, it skips the QWERTY layout entirely, offering more than 30 keys and buttons that can all be customized.
Several improvements set the V2 Pro apart from its predecessor. Razer upgraded the optical switches, widened the actuation depth range on the keys, and swapped in an analog TMR thumbpad.
Razer has also added a new proprietary feature called Snap Flex, which lets any button trigger two keys with a single press. The idea is to make multi-key combos more consistent and easier to execute.
Razer paired that with Snap Tap, which works the opposite way – it makes sure two chosen keys are never pressed at the same time. FPS players will likely appreciate this most, since reversing direction mid-strafe often triggers both keys by accident, canceling the movement and freezing the character in place.
Like its predecessor, the Tartarus V2 Pro still ships with an adjustable wrist rest. Each key lights up with RGB for a personalized look, and all 31 keys and buttons can be reprogrammed through Razer’s Synapse software.
