Apple announced Siri AI, a redesigned version of Siri built on the latest Apple Intelligence technology. According to the company, the assistant is more conversational, has a better understanding of personal context, and can use information from both the web and a user’s screen to provide more relevant responses.
Craig Federighi, Apple’s Senior Vice President of Software Engineering, described Siri AI as a more advanced and conversational assistant. He said its ability to access current information, understand personal context, and recognize on-screen content helps users interact with apps and complete tasks more smoothly.
Apple says Siri AI can use information from messages, emails, photos, and other personal content to provide more relevant assistance while keeping user data protected. The assistant can find recommendations shared in conversations, retrieve details from older emails, or surface photos from recent events. Support extends to third-party apps that integrate with Spotlight.
The updated Siri AI adds broader actions across Apple‘s operating systems and can understand content shown on the screen. Users can have draft emails, edit and share photos, or provide information about what they are viewing. Apple also demonstrated how Siri could suggest ideas for a potluck dish and save a chosen recipe to Notes.

Beyond personal context, Siri AI can use information from the web to provide current answers on a wide range of subjects. Apple says users can ask questions about future events, local happenings, or general knowledge topics and then continue the conversation with additional questions for more detail.
Alongside the new assistant, Apple is introducing a dedicated Siri AI app where users can revisit previous conversations across devices. The update also brings improvements to Visual Intelligence and new writing features. According to Apple, the system is built to provide stronger reasoning capabilities and deeper integration across its platforms.
These features are available for developer testing starting today and will be released as a beta to users later this year.
