To mark its 25th anniversary, Xbox has introduced a Series X console and controller featuring a translucent “OG Green” design inspired by the original Xbox. The limited-edition console comes bundled with the matching controller, though the controller will also be sold separately.
According to Xbox, the collection will be released in select markets in November. Pricing information hasn’t been announced.
Jason Ronald said Xbox wanted to bring some of the original console’s spirit into the Series X for the first time with a translucent design and the classic OG Green look. He described the anniversary edition as a tribute to Xbox’s past, while still delivering the same Series X performance and 1TB of storage players expect today.
The limited-edition console includes several references to Xbox’s early years, such as a green-lit Xbox button. The matching controller also brings back the classic ABXY button colors found on the original hardware.

Ronald also hinted at a number of undisclosed details built into the design, describing them as a gesture of appreciation for Xbox fans.
For now, Xbox is keeping some details under wraps, though the company says pricing and availability information will be shared soon.
